“EXCITING NEWS ON MEMORY FOAM BEDS”

Simmons as been interested in memory foam beds for some time and in fact we made a few different models in the past. These models did well for us, but we always knew that we could improve on some of the benefits of a memory foam product. It wasn't until we found a company called COMFOR - PEDIC® going about it's business manufacturing a memory foam product mainly for hospital use, did we realize this is exactly what we were searching for.

There are three main problems with most memory foam beds found in the market place today as we see it.

Problem 1 … they are very warm to sleep on and tend to generate heat. A lot of these products tend to sleep in the area of 101 degrees and our body temperature is 98.6 degrees. This is like sleeping with a temperature brought on by a fever... not very comfortable. What COMFOR-PEDIC® has discovered and has a patent on, is a method of making an open cell memory foam product, as apposed to a closed cell, and this special foam then can breath properly and allows the bed to sleep at room temperature and therefore you sleep without the extra heat.

Problem 2 … most memory foam product is what we call a slow reacting foam. When you roll over in bed, it takes time for the foam to respond to your body. You get what is known as the quicksand effect and this makes it difficult to move at ease in bed. Nxg (next generation) memory foam is processed in a specially designed vacuum chamber and is a quick responding product that responds to movement in the bed instantly and allows you to roll over and find instant comfort.

Problem 3 … is cost and one we hear a lot about. Most memory foam beds are very expensive if you compare them to a good quality inner spring product.
